Smelter License — Copper Production
IGOZOMO holds a Smelter License for copper production in Tanzania. This landmark license authorises the establishment and operation of a copper smelter facility at Gulwe Village, Dodoma, enabling full downstream copper production from ore to cathodes, wire bars, and continuous cast rod.
Mining Licenses (MLs)
Full Mining Licenses covering copper, coal, gold, and other minerals across IGOZOMO's active concessions. These licenses authorise commercial-scale extraction operations at Kinusi, Fufu, Tagawama, Chunya, Katavi, Utegi, Nyasa, Ruanda, Tunduru, and Nachingwea.
Prospecting Licenses (PLs)
Prospecting Licenses authorising geological exploration and resource assessment across IGOZOMO's exploration portfolio. These licenses enable systematic geological surveys, sampling, and resource estimation across new and existing concession areas.
Primary Mining Licenses (PMLs)
Primary Mining Licenses covering small-scale and artisanal mining operations within IGOZOMO's portfolio. These licenses complement the full Mining Licenses and provide operational flexibility across the company's diverse mineral concessions.
Mineral Dealership License
Authorises IGOZOMO to trade and deal in minerals and mineral products. This license is fundamental to the company's business model of beneficiation and trading of minerals, enabling direct sales of copper ore, concentrate, and other mineral products to domestic and international buyers.

Regulatory Compliance
Health & Safety Management
Practical knowledge of Section 22 of the Mining Health and Safety Act is entrenched across the organisation. This section governs the establishment and maintenance of health and safety management systems at all mining operations.
Incident Reporting & Investigation
Section 23 compliance governs IGOZOMO's incident reporting and investigation protocols. Our bottom-up weekly reporting system and monthly audit programme are designed to meet and exceed the requirements of this section.
Surface & Underground Compliance
Monthly audits — both surface and underground — are conducted across all active sites to measure compliance with the Mining Health and Safety Act. Results are presented at monthly IGOZOMO meetings with action plans for any non-compliance.
Supervisory Qualifications
All Site Managers, Area Managers, and General Managers hold the appropriate Certificates of Competency as required by Tanzanian mining regulations. These qualifications are maintained and renewed in accordance with regulatory requirements.
